Analyzing Data

With regards to the grade 4 data, we found that some of the data showed consistency. This includes the number of questions and non-questions, as well as the number of different questions.  We saw improvement in two of our categories.  There was a slight improvement of our on-task questions, which started at 93% and ended at 98%. We were most impressed by the improvement shown by our higher level questions, since this was one of our goals.  Our first activity saw 7% higher level questions which spiked to 94% for one activity and ended at 57%.

The grade 1 data did not reflect any improvements from our six different categories. In analyzing the data, there are huge discrepancies between each "I wonder" session, suggesting the results are not comparable to each other yet more reliable in evaluating each activity in isolation.
